We are not a government agency. We are not a big law firm on Ponce de León avenue. We are neighbors: we speak boricua, we listen boricua, and we understand that behind every tax return there is a grandmother, a grandchild and a corner colmado.

Services

We handle your tax refunds and secure all of your benefits (CRCD, SNAP, housing programs).

Every case is worked by a human advisor with a first and last name. No call centers. No AI pretending to be a clerk.

Refunds and tax credits

We review your PR Treasury (Hacienda) returns up to five years back. We find unclaimed credits: PR Earned Income Tax Credit, dependent credits and Fiona/María disaster exemptions.

Housing and CDBG-DR

We file with the PR Department of Housing for the R3 program, Home Reimbursement, Affordable Housing and Section 8 vouchers administered by the HUD Caribbean Office.

PAN, WIC and food benefits

We prepare the full file for the Nutrition Assistance Program (PAN), WIC for expectant mothers, and school meal programs from the PR Department of Education.

FEMA: hurricanes, earthquakes and electrical damage

Appeals, case reopenings and new claims for Hurricane María, Fiona and the southwestern earthquake swarms. We work disaster codes DR-4339, DR-4671 and DR-4493.

USDA Rural Development

502 Direct and 504 loans for households in rural municipalities: Utuado, Adjuntas, Lares, Yabucoa, Maricao. We follow you through escrow and closing.

Small business and self-employment

Municipal patente, SURI merchant registration, Act 60 incentives for microbusinesses, and BDE financing for colmados, salons and kioscos.

Federal and recovery funds

Federal funds (FEMA, HUD, USDA) and Puerto Rico recovery programs: check your chances of receiving financial assistance right now.

More than USD 81 billion have been obligated to Puerto Rico since 2018. A large share still hasn’t reached families because forms get stuck halfway. That’s where we step in.

How we work

Forget the bureaucracy. Fast handling of your files by a dedicated expert.

Three steps. No surprises. No false promises. Always with a good cup of coffee.

Step 01

Honest first conversation

Forty-five minutes by video call or in person at our Santurce office. We tell you what you qualify for and what you do not. If we can’t help you, we say so on day one.

Step 02

Hand-built case file

We collect documents, sign a clear service agreement and work your applications before Hacienda, FEMA, HUD or USDA as needed.

Step 03

Follow-through until you get paid

Appeals, administrative hearings, monthly follow-up and direct WhatsApp updates. Every notice is translated into plain language for you.

Who we are

Increase your income without working more: claim the legal rights you already have (tax credits, exemptions, disaster relief).

Leadershiptrendspr was founded in 2022 in a small office facing Plaza Las Delicias in Ponce. We started by helping three families who were left out of the R3 program after Hurricane Fiona. Today we are a team of nine: certified public accountants, licensed social workers and two retired attorneys from the PR Treasury.

We are not a government agency. We are not a big law firm on Ponce de León avenue. We are neighbors: we speak boricua, we listen boricua, and we understand that behind every tax return there is a grandmother, a grandchild and a corner colmado.

FAQ

Targeted help: housing, education, entrepreneurship. We find the right solution for you.

Are initial consultations really free?
Yes. The first 45-minute conversation is always free and with no obligation. If you decide to work with us, we sign a service agreement with flat fees and a percentage of the recovered refund, never charged in advance.
Do you guarantee that I will receive a government check?
No. No serious advisor in Puerto Rico can guarantee outcomes. What we do guarantee is serious work, correctly filed cases and full transparency about the realistic probabilities of your case.
I am a U.S. citizen living in PR. Do I qualify for FEMA and HUD?
Yes. All U.S. citizens residing in Puerto Rico have the same federal rights as the residents of the 50 states regarding FEMA, HUD and USDA. If anyone tells you otherwise, come see us.
Can you help me if I live in a rural municipality?
Absolutely. In fact, a good portion of our work is in Utuado, Adjuntas, Lares, Maricao, Yabucoa and Salinas. We travel to your home when needed.
What if my case has been denied twice already?
There are administrative appeal routes that most applicants do not know exist. We review your prior denial and tell you honestly whether reopening the case is worth it.
